The Ann Arbor Soccer Association is a non-profit civic organization that promotes and maintains the availability of adult recreational soccer for the Ann Arbor community. Over the past three decades, AASA has become a fixture of the soccer community in the Ann Arbor area. Our mission is to provide a fun and safe soccer game and atmosphere to all individuals regardless of playing experience or skill level. We are an all-volunteer-run organization run by a governing board.
AASA offers outdoor soccer for the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. Each season has several leagues available for play. They include Full Field Co-Ed (11v11) on Tuesdays and either Wednesdays or Thursdays, 7v7 Co-Ed on Monday/Wednesday, 7v7 Co-Ed on Tuesday/Thursday, and a 7v7 Women's league on Monday/Wednesday. The 11v11 leagues are all 1 game per week, and the 7v7 leagues are all 2 games per week.
Full Field games are played at Olson Park and all 7v7 games are played at Fuller Park.
At the end of each season the winners from each of our leagues will receive a PRIZE! In addition, at the end of each season the Monday/Wednesday Co-Ed top teams will face off against the Tuesday/Thursday Co-Ed top teams for a special Friday night playoff with pizza and drinks provided by AASA. In 2025 there will also be a playoff night for the 11v11 leagues!
For maps and directions, see our Locations page for more information.
Upon registration, the Board of Directors will sort teams based on individual skill and preferred field positions. Players will be notified of their team assignments prior to opening day.
Gameplay rules align with FIFA regulations. As we are a recreational league, all slide tackles are prohibited. More information on rules and regulations can be found on our Documents page.
All games are comprised of two 45-minute halves with a 5 minute halftime and include a referee to ensure fair play and safety. Games start at 6:30pm sharp in the Spring and Summer, and 6:00pm sharp in the Fall! If there is enough interest to expand either of the 11v11 leagues, then start times will vary between 6:00 and 7:45.
To meet your team, pick up your shirt, and collect sponsorship information, plan to arrive at your league's game location on the first day of play (Either a Monday for M/W Coed and M/W Women's or a Tuesday for Full Field and T/TH Coed). We recommend arriving a 1/2 hour early so that we can begin gameplay as soon as possible.
The team with the best record in Full Field and M/W Women's will be the respective league champs. The Top Four teams from M/W Coed and T/TH Coed will square off in 30 minute knockout rounds to determine the league champion on the last Friday of the season. Each championship team will receive their choice of an AASA pint glass and eternal glory. Each Friday playoff round will feature pizza and drinks on site - all are welcome to join and to cheer on your favorite team.
